§ 304. Eligible activities. A public housing authority or agency may\nuse a grant under this article for:\n (1) the employment of security personnel in public housing projects;\n (2) reimbursement of local law enforcement agencies for additional\nsecurity and protective services for public housing projects;\n (3) physical improvements in public housing projects which are\nspecifically designed to enhance security;\n (4) the employment of one or more individuals:\n (a) to investigate drug-related crime on or about the real property\ncomprising any public housing project; and\n (b) to provide evidence relating to any such crime in any\nadministrative or judicial proceeding;\n (5) the provision of training, communications equipment, and other\nrelated equipment for use by voluntary public housing tenant patrols\nacting in cooperation with local law enforcement officials;\n (6) innovative programs designed to reduce use of drugs in and around\npublic housing projects; and\n (7) providing funding to nonprofit public housing resident management\ncorporations and tenant councils to develop security and drug abuse\nprevention programs involving site residents.\n
