§ 368. Certain cities; advisory board; appointment; compensation. 1.\nIn cities having a population of less than one hundred seventy-five\nthousand, the mayor may appoint, and at his pleasure remove five\nresident and practicing physicians of the city who shall act as an\nadvisory board to the mayor or commissioner of health or health officer\nupon matters pertaining to public health whenever requested by such\nmayor, commissioner, or health officer.\n 2. The members of such advisory board shall serve without\ncompensation.\n
