§ 230. Liability for obscenity, defamation and invasion of privacy.\nNeither the cable television company whose facilities are used to\ntransmit a program produced by a person other than such cable television\ncompany pursuant to the provisions of this article or of federal law or\nof applicable regulations, nor the officers, directors or employees of\nany such cable television company shall be liable for damages arising\nfrom any obscene or defamatory statements or actions or invasion of\nprivacy occurring during any program when such company does not\noriginate or produce such program.\n
