§ 15. State supervision. The retirement system continued by this\narticle shall be subject to the supervision of the superintendent of\nfinancial services. Such supervision shall be in accordance with the\nprovisions of the insurance law to the extent that such provisions are\napplicable to the retirement system and are not inconsistent with the\nprovisions of this article.\n
