§ 1202. Office established; appointment of successor\n The office of public administrator hereby is continued. The public\nadministrator shall continue in office unless removed by the court.\nVacancy in such office for any reason shall be filled by the court of\nthe county by appointing a public administrator for the county\nimmediately. In the counties of Westchester, Nassau and Suffolk, the\ncourt may appoint a deputy public administrator who shall act generally\nfor and in place of the public administrator whenever required.\n
