Local regulation of vehicle dismantlers in cities having a population in excess of one million

§ 415-b. Local regulation of vehicle dismantlers in cities having a\npopulation in excess of one million. The legislative body of any city\nhaving a population in excess of one million may, by local law:\n 1. provide for the licensing of vehicle dismantlers as defined in\nsubdivision one of section four hundred fifteen-a of this chapter by the\ndepartment of consumer affairs of such city, and further provide that no\nperson may act as a vehicle dismantler in such city without having\nobtained a license from such department. The provisions of such local\nlaw shall not be inconsistent with the provisions of this article or any\nrule or regulation promulgated thereunder; and\n 2. adopt any other provisions relating to the operation of the\nbusiness of a vehicle dismantler which are neither duplicative of, nor\ninconsistent with, any provision of this article or any rule or\nregulation promulgated thereunder.\n
