Alternative administrator and superintendent licensure pathways

Effective: October 24, 2024; Latest Legislation: Senate Bill 168 - 135th General Assembly

(A) The department of education and workforce may establish alternative pathways for an individual who holds a bachelor's degree from an institution of higher education accredited by a regional accrediting agency to obtain an educator license to work as an administrator or superintendent. The department may establish rules as needed to implement this section.

(B) The state board of education shall issue an educator license to work as an administrator or superintendent to an individual who completes an alternative pathway established by the department under this section.
