Ohio Rev. Code Ann. § 3796.032

Applicability to research and development institutions and organizations

Effective: March 20, 2026; Latest Legislation: Senate Bill 56 - 136th General Assembly

This chapter does not authorize the division of cannabis control to oversee or limit research conducted at a state university, academic medical center, or private research and development organization that is related to marijuana and is approved by an agency, board, center, department, or institute of the United States government, including any of the following:

(A) The agency for health care research and quality;

(B) The national institutes of health;

(C) The national academy of sciences;

(D) The centers for medicare and medicaid services;

(E) The United States department of defense;

(F) The centers for disease control and prevention;

(G) The United States department of veterans affairs;

(H) The drug enforcement administration;

(I) The food and drug administration;

(J) Any board recognized by the national institutes of health for the purpose of evaluating the medical value of health care services.
