Ohio Rev. Code Ann. § 4723.432

Cooperation in investigations

Effective: June 9, 2026; Latest Legislation: House Bill 52 - 136th General Assembly

(A) An advanced practice registered nurse who is designated as a clinical nurse specialist, certified nurse-midwife, or certified nurse practitioner shall cooperate with the state medical board in any investigation the board conducts with respect to a physician or podiatrist who collaborates with the nurse. The nurse shall cooperate with the board in any investigation the board conducts with respect to the unauthorized practice of medicine by the nurse.

(B) An advanced practice registered nurse who is designated as a certified registered nurse anesthetist shall cooperate with the state medical board or state dental board in any investigation conducted by such board with respect to a collaborating physician, podiatrist, or dentist who requests that the nurse perform patient care activities as described in division (D) of section 4723.43 of the Revised Code.

The nurse also shall cooperate with either the state medical board or state dental board in any investigation it conducts with respect to the unauthorized practice of medicine or dentistry by the nurse.
