Cease and desist order for unlicensed practice of optometry

Effective: April 6, 2023; Latest Legislation: House Bill 509 - 134th General Assembly

The state vision professionals board may issue a cease-and-desist order against any person engaging in the practice of optometry without having received a license under sections 4725.01 to 4725.34 of the Revised Code that the board reasonably suspects has violated, is currently violating, or is about to violate this chapter. The board's authority to issue a cease-and-desist order under this section is in addition to any action the board may take under section 4725.23 of the Revised Code.
