Ohio Rev. Code Ann. § 4731.091

[Former R.C. 4731.092, amended and renumbered by H.B. 49, 132nd General Assembly, effective 9/29/2017] Qualified graduate of fifth pathway training program

Effective: September 29, 2017; Latest Legislation: House Bill 49 - 132nd General Assembly

To be recognized by the state medical board as a qualified graduate of a fifth pathway training program, an applicant shall submit evidence satisfactory to the board that the applicant has done all of the following:

(A) Studied medicine in a foreign medical school acknowledged by the world health organization and verified by a member state of that organization as operating within the state's jurisdiction at the time the applicant studied medicine;

(B) Successfully completed all the formal requirements of the foreign medical school except internship or social service requirements;

(C) Prior to entrance into the fifth pathway training program, attained on a screening examination acceptable to the board a score satisfactory to a medical school accredited by the liaison committee on medical education;

(D) Successfully completed one academic year of fifth pathway training at a hospital affiliated with a medical school accredited by the liaison committee on medical education.
