Licensees shall ensure that installation, service, and maintenance of a conveyance is performed in accordance with state and local law and with generally accepted standards referenced in such laws or related rules.
When any material alteration is made to a conveyance, the licensees involved shall ensure that the conveyance adheres to the appropriate conveyance standard for the alteration.
