Ohio Rev. Code Ann. § 715.65

Licensing of advertising mediums and matters

Effective: October 1, 1953; Latest Legislation: House Bill 1 - 100th General Assembly

Any municipal corporation may license bill-posters, advertising sign painters, bill distributors, card tackers, and advertising matter of any article or compound which has not been manufactured or compounded within such municipal corporation. In granting such license the legislative authority of such municipal corporation may fix such license fees as are expedient, and may delegate to the mayor thereof the authority to grant, issue, and revoke such license.

This section does not authorize such legislative authority to charge merchants doing business therein a license fee for advertising their own business.
