Okla. Stat. tit. 25, § 1705

Referral to local commission

A. The Attorney General:

1. Whether or not a complaint has been filed under the provisions of Section 1502 or 1704 of this title, may refer a matter involving discrimination because of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or genetic information to a local commission for investigation, study, and report; and 2. May refer a complaint alleging a violation of Section 1101 et seq. of this title to a local commission for:

a. investigation, b. determination whether there is reasonable cause to believe that the respondent has engaged in a discriminatory practice, or c. assistance in eliminating a discriminatory practice by conference, conciliation, or persuasion. B. Upon referral by the Attorney General, the local commission shall make a report and may make recommendations to the Attorney General and take other appropriate action within the scope of its powers.
