Breakage - Distribution of proceeds

Known as the Oklahoma Charity Games Act

A. From any payment made to an individual who has wagered by contributing to a pari-mutuel pool operated by an organization licensee, the organization licensee shall deduct the odd cents by which the amount payable on each dollar wagered exceeds a multiple of ten cents ($0.10). If there is a minus pari-mutuel pool, the organization licensee shall deduct the odd cents by which the amount payable on each dollar wagered exceeds a multiple of five cents ($0.05). The amount so deducted shall be known as breakage. B. All breakage proceeds shall be remitted by the organization licensee to the Commission for deposit in the Oklahoma Breeding Development Fund Special Account. Added by State Question No. 553, Initiative Petition No. 315, adopted at election held Sept. 21, 1982.
