The period during which the absolute right of alienation may be suspended by any instrument in execution of a power shall be computed from the time of the creation of the power and not from the date of the instrument. However, in the case of a general power presently exercisable, the period shall be computed from the date of the instrument. Laws 1977, c. 210, § 12.
