Instructional materials - Provision in digital electronic format. It is the intent of the Legislature to ensure that all students with disabilities enrolled in institutions in The Oklahoma State System of Higher Education be afforded the opportunities to succeed. In recognition of the fact that instructional materials are a critical component of education, the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education shall encourage the state institutions of higher education to communicate to all manufacturers and publishers of required or essential instructional materials that such materials should be provided in a digital electronic format, in a timely manner to fit course schedules, and at no additional cost to the institutions. Instructors of higher education should be made aware of this alternative format, and should provide whatever assistance that may be feasible in making the materials available to students when so requested.
