Okla. Stat. tit. 74, § 271

A. The Senate and the House of Representatives of the State of Oklahoma are hereby authorized to employ such administrative, professional, clerical, stenographic and other employees as in the judgment of each body, respectively, shall by them be deemed necessary and proper. B. Each week during the legislative session, the Senate and the House of Representatives are hereby authorized to employ chaplains and pages as deemed necessary by the respective bodies. C. Each body shall be the sole judge of the number, duties, and compensation of its employees.
