Alternative process for certain business operations - Academic health centers

A. When unnecessary duplication or redundancies add cost and inefficiency to routine processing systems, the Office of Management and Enterprise Services (OMES) may approve an alternative process for certain business operations, including but not limited to accounts payable and travel and expense control at academic health centers that meet or exceed OMES requirements. OMES shall establish appropriate reporting as deemed necessary. B. For purposes of this section, an academic health center consists of an allopathic or osteopathic medical school, one or more other health profession schools or programs such as allied health, dentistry, graduate studies, nursing, pharmacy, public health, veterinary medicine, and one or more owned or affiliated teaching hospitals or health systems.
