ORS 408.710

Known as the Oregon Vietnam Veteran Benefits Act

(1) As used in ORS 408.710 to 408.740, “indigent veteran” means any veteran who is without means of procuring the necessities of life.

(2) A person may not be deprived of the benefits provided for in ORS 408.720 to 408.740 by reason of the fact that the person owns property that is not of such a character that it may be used to give assistance to the person, or owns a home that is not disproportionate to the needs of such veteran and family. A person may not be deprived of such benefits until the person has ceased to be domiciled in the county for a period of one year.
