Funds of an insurer may be invested in amply secured obligations of a sovereign, political subdivision thereof or corporation. Expressly included, but not by way of limitation, are obligations of the following federal agencies and authorities: Federal Home Loan Banks, Federal Land Banks, Home Owners Loan Corporation, Public Housing Authorities (to the extent that such obligations are secured by a pledge of annual contributions to be paid by the United States or an agency thereof), and Federal Intermediate Credit Banks.
