The Department of Transportation shall assist accredited schools and educational institutions of this state in the promotion of highway safety and shall carry on with other activities under the laws providing for the registration of motor vehicles and motor vehicle operators and chauffeurs, other projects having for their purpose the prevention of motor vehicle accidents.
