R.I. Gen. Laws § 34-30.1-4

Sale in violation of federal patent or copyright law

P.L. 1998, ch. 265, § 1; P.L. 2011, ch. 363, § 17.

(a) If any sale is made under this chapter in violation of any right of a customer under federal patent or copyright law said sale shall be void and unenforceable and all proceeds shall be returned to the customer.

(b) A lien under this chapter does not take priority over and shall be subject to an existing perfected security interest.
