R.I. Gen. Laws § 42-64-38

Audit of the corporation

Known as the The Rhode Island Commerce Corporation Act

The act spans §§ 42–42 (75 sections).

(a) Commencing July 1, 2014, and every five (5) years thereafter, the corporation shall be subject to a performance audit, conducted in compliance with the generally accepted governmental auditing standards, by the office of internal audit and program integrity or a certified public accounting firm qualified in performance audits.

(b) If the audit is not directly performed by the office of internal audit and program integrity, the selection of the auditor and the scope of the audit shall be subject to the approval of the chief of the office of internal audit and program integrity.

(c) The audit shall be conducted in conformance with § 35-7-3(b) through (d) [repealed].

(d) The results of the audit shall be made public upon completion, posted on the websites of the office of internal audit and program integrity and the corporation.

(e) The corporation shall be responsible for all costs associated with the audit.
