R.I. Gen. Laws § 8-10-43.1

Venue of criminal offenses

Known as the The Family Court Act

The act spans §§ 8-10-1 to 8-10-9 (57 sections).

P.L. 1981, ch. 345, § 1.

The chief judge of the family court or his or her designee shall fix the venue for trial of any person accused of any criminal offense which is subject to the jurisdiction of the family court.
