Designation of the several courts of the State

The following are courts of justice in this State:

(1) the court for trial of impeachments;

(2) the Supreme Court;

(3) the court of appeals;

(4) the circuit courts, to wit:

(a) a court of common pleas and

(b) a court of general sessions;

(5) probate courts;

(6) the family courts;

(7) magistrates' courts; and

(8) municipal courts.
