S.C. Code Ann. § 38-73-440

Certain factors may not be considered in determining automobile insurance rates

Former 1976 Code SECTION 38-37-360 [1962 Code SECTION 37-591.16; 1974 (58) 2718] recodified as SECTION 38-73-440 by 1987 Act No. 155, SECTION 1; 1993 Act No. 181, SECTION 783.

In determining the premium rates to be charged on automobile insurance, it is unlawful to consider race, religion, national origin, or economic status.
