A person who engages in the practice of or offers to engage in the practice of genetic counseling in the State in violation of this chapter or who knowingly submits false information to the board for the purpose of obtaining a license or who violates another provision of this chapter is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, must be fined not more than five hundred dollars or imprisoned not more than ninety days, or both. Each violation is a separate offense.
