S.C. Code Ann. § 44-115-110

Payment for services related to medical records a just debt; payment in advance may be required

Known as the Physicians' Patient Records Act

The act spans §§ 44–44 (17 sections).

1992 Act No. 480, SECTION 1.

Payment for all services related to medical record requests is a just debt, due and payable at the time service is rendered. A physician may require payment in advance for a copy of the record.
