Conditions requiring filing of amended statement or report--Time for filing--Violation as misdemeanor--Civil penalty

Any treasurer or other person filing a statement or report pursuant to this chapter, shall file an amended statement or report within seven days of discovering any omission, inaccuracy, or other change necessary to make the statement or report accurate. A person responsible for filing a statement or report pursuant to this chapter, who willfully fails to report a material change or correction, is guilty of a Class 2 misdemeanor. A subsequent offense within a calendar year is a Class 1 misdemeanor. A person responsible for filing a statement or report pursuant to this chapter, who willfully fails to file an amendment pursuant to this section is subject to the administrative penalty in § 12-27-29.1 beginning on the first day following the seventh day after the candidate, treasurer, or other person is notified of the omission, inaccuracy, or other change necessary to make the statement or report accurate.
