S.D. Codified Laws § 32-3A-38.8

Large boats previously titled in another state--Notation on title required

The department shall, in a conspicuous location, place on the first South Dakota title and all subsequent titles issued for any large boat for which a certificate of title was issued by another state, the name of the previous state and any brand or notation indicated on the title by that state.
