(1) All salaries for secretarial positions shall be fixed within the limits of the appropriation for the salaries by the administrative director of the courts and the commissioner of finance and administration, with the approval of the chief justice of the supreme court.
(2) The salaries shall be payable in equal monthly installments out of the treasury upon the warrants of the commissioner of finance and administration.
