Petition and answer to be verified — Oaths

Known as the Election Code

(1) The petition and answer shall be sworn to and stated to be true to the best of the person's knowledge, information and belief. The pleading shall make the issues but shall have no weight as evidence.

(2) The chair of the committee and the chairs of subcommittees may administer oaths to witnesses.
