Tenn. Code Ann. § 2-2-203

Prohibited acts by registering agencies — Penalty

Known as the Election Code

The act spans §§ 2–2 (475 sections).

Acts 1994, ch. 947, § 4.

(1) A person who provides service described in § 2-2-202 shall not: Seek to influence an applicant's political preference or party registration;

(2) Display any such political preference or party allegiance; or

(3) Make any statement to an applicant or take any action, the purpose or effect of which is to discourage the applicant from registering to vote.

(4) A violation of this section is a Class C misdemeanor.
