Tenn. Code Ann. § 24-9-304

Validity of unsworn declaration

Acts 2010, ch. 902, § 1.

(1) Except as otherwise provided in subsection (b), if a law of this state requires or permits use of a sworn declaration, an unsworn declaration meeting the requirements of this part has the same effect as a sworn declaration.

(2) This part does not apply to: A deposition;

(3) An oath of office;

(4) An oath required to be given before a specified official other than a notary public;

(5) A declaration to be recorded pursuant to title 66, chapter 24; or

(6) An oath required by § 32-2-110.
