Tenn. Code Ann. § 3-18-106

Offense of delegate or alternate knowingly or intentionally voting or attempting to vote outside of scope of instructions or established limits — Class E felony

Acts 2014, ch. 979, § 1.

(1) It is an offense for a delegate or alternate delegate to knowingly or intentionally vote or attempt to vote outside the scope of: The instructions established by a joint resolution adopted under § 3-18-103; or

(2) The limits placed by the general assembly in a joint resolution that calls for an Article V convention for the purpose of proposing amendments to the Constitution of the United States on the subjects and amendments that may be considered by the Article V convention.

(3) A violation of subsection (a) is a Class E felony.
