Compensation of witnesses

Acts 1931, ch. 3, § 15; mod

(1) Any person or persons subpoenaed to appear as a witness before any such committee, or subcommittee, shall be entitled to compensation including travel pay, as is now provided by law in respect of witnesses subpoenaed to appear in civil cases in courts of record of this state.

(2) Such compensation for witnesses, when certified as due and payable by the chair of any such committee, or the member or members thereof acting as such subcommittee, shall be paid by the state treasurer, upon warrants drawn by the commissioner of finance and administration, out of any funds of the state not otherwise appropriated.
