Tenn. Code Ann. § 4-27-103

Duties of board

It is the duty of the board to:

(1) Adopt rules governing its proceedings;

(2) Elect a chair and secretary;

(3) Keep permanent and accurate records of its proceedings;

(4) Establish criteria for making awards;

(5) Adopt rules and regulations to carry out this chapter;

(6) Approve each award made; and

(7) Meet at least quarterly to evaluate suggestions made by employees.
