Known as the Course Access Program Act

The act spans §§ 49–49 (11 sections).

Acts 2016, ch. 889, § 10; 2018, ch. 784, §§ 12-15.

(1) The department shall publish a link to the course access catalog in a prominent location on the department's website that includes: A list of approved course providers;

(2) A list of courses offered by approved providers available through the course access program;

(3) A detailed description of the courses; and

(4) All available student course completion and outcome data in a manner that protects student privacy in compliance with chapter 1, part 7 of this title, § 10-7-504, and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) (20 U.S.C. § 1232g).

(5) The department shall make publicly available each year the following information concerning the course access program: The number of students participating in the course access program and the total number of courses in which students are enrolled;

(6) The number of approved course providers;

(7) The number of approved courses and the number of students enrolled in each course;

(8) The number of courses available by subject and grade level;

(9) The number of students enrolled in courses by subject and grade level; and

(10) Student outcome data, including course completion rates and other approved measures.
