Known as the Tennessee Insurance Law
The act spans §§ 56–56 (1,220 sections).

This part applies to all kinds of insurance written on risks in this state by any insurer authorized to do business in this state, except:
(1) Life insurance;
(2) Annuities;
(3) Disability insurance;
(4) Ocean marine insurance;
(5) Reinsurance;
(6) Aircraft liability and aircraft hull insurance;
(7) Title insurance;
(8) Credit life insurance; and
(9) Credit accident and health insurance.
