Tenn. Code Ann. § 62-18-121

(1) The right to engage in the practice of land surveying shall be deemed a personal right, based upon the qualifications of the individual, evidenced by the individual's registration certificate and shall not be transferable.

(2) Any registered land surveyor may practice the profession through the medium of, or as a member or as an employee of, a partnership, firm, joint stock association or corporation; provided, that all surveys are signed and stamped with the signature and seal of the registered land surveyor in responsible charge.

(3) The registered land surveyor signing and sealing surveys is responsible, personally and professionally, for the surveys.
