Prerequisites to taking certification examination

Known as the State Licensing and Certified Real Estate Appraisers Law

(1) As a prerequisite to taking the examination for certification as a state-certified general real estate appraiser, applicants shall submit satisfactory evidence that they have met the current requirements for certification as a certified general real estate appraiser as set forth by the appraisal qualifications board of the appraisal foundation.

(2) As a prerequisite to taking the examination for certification as a state-certified residential real estate appraiser, an applicant shall present satisfactory evidence to the commission that the applicant has completed the current requirements for certification as set forth by the appraisal qualifications board of the appraisal foundation.

(3) It is the intent of this chapter to meet the minimum criteria for certification established from time to time by the appraisal qualifications board of the appraisal foundation, and the commission may recommend changes to this section to meet those criteria.
