Certification — Experience requirement

Known as the State Licensing and Certified Real Estate Appraisers Law

(1) As a prerequisite to certification, a person must have completed the appraisal experience requirement currently set forth by the appraisal qualifications board of the appraisal foundation.

(2) Each applicant for certification shall furnish under oath a detailed listing of the real estate appraisal reports or file memoranda for each year for which experience is claimed by the applicant. Upon request, the applicant shall make available to the commission for examination a sample of appraisal reports that the applicant has prepared in the course of the applicant's appraisal practice.

(3) It is the intent of this chapter to meet the minimum criteria for certification established from time to time by the appraiser qualifications board of the appraisal foundation and the commission may recommend changes to this section to meet those criteria.
