(1) In accordance with the Uniform Administrative Procedures Act, compiled in title 4, chapter 5, the commission shall promulgate rules to ensure that each individual renewing the individual's license or certificate has a working knowledge of current real estate appraisal theories, practices and techniques sufficient to enable the individual to provide competent real estate appraisal services to the members of the public with whom the individual deals in a professional relationship.
(2) It is the intent of this chapter to meet the minimum criteria for certification established from time to time by the appraiser qualifications board of the appraisal foundation, and the commission may recommend changes to this section to meet those criteria.
