Administration — Rules and regulations — Standards

(1) The state fire marshal is charged with the administration of this part.

(2) The state fire marshal shall, in accordance with the Uniform Administrative Procedures Act, compiled in title 4, chapter 5, promulgate rules and regulations for carrying into effect all provisions of this part. The rules and regulations shall include standards for the manufacture, approval, and installation of anchor systems.

(3) In the formulation of such standards, the state fire marshal shall strive to protect the public to a reasonable degree from dangers associated with overturning and sliding of manufactured homes, without unduly increasing their cost to consumers.

(4) The state fire marshal shall include, in the rules and regulations required above, minimum standards for support systems for manufactured homes.
