Containment of disease transmission by employees

Acts 1990, ch. 884, § 17.

(1) When the commissioner has reasonable cause to suspect possible disease transmission by an employee of the facility, the commissioner may secure a morbidity history of the employee or make other investigations as may be indicated.

(2) The commissioner may require any of the following: The immediate exclusion of the employee from employment in the establishment;

(3) The immediate closing of the facility until in the commissioner's opinion no further danger of disease outbreak exists;

(4) Restricting the employee's service to some area of the facility where there would be little likelihood of transmitting disease; or

(5) Adequate medical and laboratory examinations of the employee and of other employees.
