Licensing of alcohol and drug abuse counselors — Rules

Acts 1997, ch. 453, § 3; T.C.A. § 68-24-605.

(1) The board may license the minimal competence of alcohol and drug abuse counselors based on satisfactory completion of its licensure process, including passing examinations, maintaining competence and professional standards and paying reasonable fees.

(2) The board shall promulgate rules to effectuate the purposes of this part including, but not be limited to: Application and licensure fees;

(3) Examination and licensure procedures;

(4) Standards of practice and qualifications for licensure;

(5) Disciplinary procedures; and

(6) Supervision of applicants.
