Tex. Elec. Code § 162.010

DURATION OF AFFILIATION

(a) Except as provided by Subsection (b), a party affiliation expires at the end of the voting year in which the person became affiliated.

(b) A party affiliation made in an odd-numbered year expires on the first day on which a person may file an application for a place on the general primary election ballot.
