Tex. Fin. Code § 371.304

ACTING WITHOUT A LICENSE; OFFENSES

Known as the Texas Pawnshop Act

The act spans §§ 371–371 (95 sections).

(a) A person who violates Section 371.051 commits an offense.

(b) Repealed by Acts 2019, 86th Leg., R.S., Ch. 767 (H.B. 1442), Sec. 95(3), eff. September 1, 2019.

(e) An offense under Subsection (a) is a misdemeanor punishable by:

(1) a fine not to exceed $10,000;

(2) confinement in county jail for a term not to exceed one year; or

(3) both the fine and confinement.
