(a) The city manager shall appoint a clerk of the municipal court of record who shall be known as the municipal court clerk. The clerk may hire, direct, and remove the personnel authorized in the city's annual budget for the clerk's office.

(d) Sections 30.00009(c) and (d) do not apply to this subchapter.
